Hringvegur (1), Hveragerði – Biskupstungnabraut, design (Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration)
The project consists of preliminary and tender design of the widening of Hringvegur (1) from Hveragerði municipality to Biskupstungnabraut (road nr 35) from 2-lanes to 4-lanes. The total length is approx. 10 km of a new 4-lane road. In total there are 7 new concrete underpasses or bridges, 2 2-lane roundabouts, 2 T-intersections and approx. 9 km of 2-lane minor roads.
