Vatnsfellsskurður - Cleaning of sediment from the canal above the valve structure (Landsvirkjun)
The work consists of cleaning the sediment that has settled in Vatnsfellsskurður above the valve structure from the canal and placing it in a deposition area north of the dike outside of Þórisvatn. The outer part of the canal, next to Þórisvatn, which consists of tuff layers, see details on the overview. It is foreseeable that all work will have to be done from a barge on the canal.
