The City of Reykjavík invites tenders for a framework agreement for electrical contractor services related to the maintenance and repair of the city’s street lighting and traffic signal systems. The scope of the contract includes, among other things, routine inspections, fault monitoring and diagnostics, repairs to underground cables, work in street cabinets, installation and replacement of lighting poles and luminaires, emergency repairs, and installation of lighting equipment. Tenderers are permitted to submit bids for one or both lots, but only one tender may be submitted per lot. The contract period is one year, with the possibility of renewal three times for one year at a time. The maximum total contract value under this framework is estimated at ISK 580,000,000 (including VAT) for street lighting services, and ISK 290,000,000 (including VAT) for traffic signal services, based on a four-year contract duration.

This is a framework agreement procedure in accordance with the Icelandic Public Procurement Act No. 120/2016, as implemented under EEA rules. The contracting authority intends to conclude framework agreements with all eligible tenderers that meet the qualification and award criteria in Part 1 (Street Lighting), and with up to three of the most economically advantageous tenderers in Part 2 (Traffic Signals). The estimated value stated reflects the maximum value over a four-year period (initial one-year contract plus three optional one-year renewals), including VAT. All communication and submission of tenders shall be conducted electronically via the City of Reykjavík's e-tendering platform: https://utbod.reykjavik.is The contracting authority reserves the right to award contracts through mini-competitions within the framework agreement, as applicable. Tenders must be submitted in Icelandic and/or English.
