Rikiskaup (The State Trading Centre)

Rikiskaup, on behalf of Government Offices Services Iceland hereby invite tenders for Air Travel for Government Officials. This invitation to Tender is divided into lots 1 and 2 and Tenderers may submit Tender response in 1 or both lots of the procedure. 1 Tenderer will be awarded Lot 1 and Rikiskaup reserves the right to accept offers from up to 3 Tenderer for lot 2.
All the Government Offices (Ministries) are a part of this tender and the Government Offices Services Iceland will be purchasing airfare tickets on their behalf following the tender.
Special attention is drawn to the cost of flight and accommodation when travelling abroad is only part of the actual travel expenses for the Government Offices of Iceland, thus the cheapest flight is not always the most economically advantageous for the relevant Ministry.
Offered tickets shall not include bonuses, access to lounges or other benefits/incentives since the tickets shall not be eligible for loyalty points or other purchase incentives for the traveller.
Further information is in the Tender documents that will be available on Rikiskaup website on Wednesday 17.2.2016, at the latest.
Tenders will be opened at Rikiskaup on 29.3.2016, at 11:00 in the presence of Tenderers that wish to be present.

Such needs can include but are not limited to: departure and arrival time on each leg, destination, total time of travelling, total time away from home office, itinerary, direct flight or connecting flights, the total cost of services, other services and per diem from the Ministries to the traveller.

… follows:— Brussels — 100 tickets each way (total of 200 both routes, to and from destination);— Copenhagen — 80 tickets each way (total of 160 both routes, to and from destination);— Paris — 50 tickets each way (total of 100 both routes, to and from destination).The above tickets are 1 way and the purchaser is not obliged to purchase tickets both ways for the same trip. These purchases is promissory. The purchaser reserves the right to use ticket from lot 2 when more convenient and advantageous.

Tenderer shall meet all the requirements of the Icelandic Transport Authority, the Icelandic Tourist Board or equivalent regulatory authorities in other countries to operators and / or company through the operation of the aircraft commercially in Iceland for the services here invited to tender; such as the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
