Ríkiskaup on behalf of the Purchaser invites Tenders for a
— fully automated polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and extraction based diagnostic system,
— 5-year framework contract for consumables
as further specified in this Invitation to Tender.
This Invitation to Tender is for a supply of fully automated PCR and extraction based diagnostic system and consumables for the Department of Microbiology in Landspitali. This diagnostic system must be suitable for and support the medical service and the clinical environment in Landspitali. This system is intended to automatically and rapidly detect MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) and other multi drug resistant organisms, such as CPE and VRE, in screening samples from patients. Therefore the clinical and technical requirements for this diagnostic system have to meet the precision and sensitivity as stated in attachment 14.
The purpose of the information provided in this Invitation to Tender is to set out the criteria that will govern the selection of any successful Tender. It should give the Tenderer a clear and informative idea of what the Purchaser is requesting regarding the system and thus increase the likelihood of a successful contract for both the Purchaser and the prospective Seller.
