Versatile next genereation sequencer for ChIP & targeted bisulfate & regular sequencing

The State Trading Centre (Ríkiskaup), which is the Centre for governmental purchase of products and services in Iceland, invites on behalf of The University of Iceland and Landspitali – National University Hospital of Iceland tenders for a versatile next generation sequencer for ChIP-seq and targeted bisulfite and regular sequencing.
The University of Iceland is setting up a facility for epigenomic research to extend and complement pre-existing research facilities in the Biomedical Center of University of Iceland and Landspitali. A key instrument for this plan is a versatile and fast next generation sequencer which shall at time of this tender have a throughput required for epigenomic analysis for ChIP-seq (minimum 1 GB per run) and the runs shall be completed in days (1-3) not weeks. In addition,there is interest in doing targeted bisulfite sequencing in epigenomic core, and homopolymers are common after bisulfite treatment, the technology shall have limited issues with discriminating homopolymers and should be able to identify up to 6 repeated bases with a low error rate (error rate should be included in tender). Finally, the sequencer and associated equipment shall be compact as there is limited space at the Dept. of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of University of Iceland.
In addition, this is the first next generation sequencer at the University of Iceland and Landspitali – National University Hospital of Iceland. The instrument will have multiple users with diverse applications including all commonly used sequence-based applications. Further description are in the tender documents.
The University of Iceland and Landspitali – National University Hospital of Iceland have a budget of 15 000 000 IKR - without VAT for this purchase.
