The State Trading Centre (Ríkiskaup), which is the Centre for governmental purchase of products and services in Iceland, invites on behalf of The Blood Bank at Landspítali – University Hospital (LSH) tenders for An automated system for viral screening and measurement of ferritin in blood donors, service contract and supplies as further specified in these tender specifications.
The tender specifications concern a four (4) years framework contract for equipment and “on demand” supply of reagents, controls, calibrators and disposables for the automated system and service contract after expiry of warranty for The Blood Bank at Landspítali – University Hospital, located in Reykjavik, with the option for a two times one (1) year extension.
The Purchaser is searching for the most economically advantageous solution in this tender.
The Blood Bank is a part of Landspítali – University Hospital in Reykjavik, Iceland. It provides all blood components and laboratory services regarding transfusion safety needed for the hospital and the country of Iceland. The Blood Bank is certified according to ISO 9001 regarding blood collection, component production, storage and clinical laboratory services. The Blood Bank currently performs only the mandatory viral screening detailed in EU directive 2002/98/EC. The Blood Bank does not currently perform Nucleic Acid Testing as part of its screening process. The department of viral screening of the Blood Bank operates in Reykjavík.
