15823 – Renewal of traffic signals
Reykjavik Procurement Office
The procurement office of the city of Reykjavík, on behalf of the city of Reyjavík and the road administration (Vegagerðin), requests participants in a tender for the renewal of traffic signals, i.e. traffic controllers, detectors, signal heads and push buttons, according to further explanation in Chapter 2 – Product Description. The pedestrian traffic signal controllers have been in use in the capital area for several decades and are out of date, i.e. the producer doesn‘t support them any longer. It‘s almost impossible to provide replacement parts and the technical knowledge required for the controllers won‘t be available in the near future. The replacement of the pedestrian traffic signal controllers is therefore an urgent safety issue. Offer should entail everything that is included with the product as it is defined in these tender documents. Offer should be made on the enclosed tender sheet.
